Dead Human1 Since we're on the topic of corpses lately I figured because fansites seem to be outdated in this category we can maybe get some clarification on the stages of decomposing and the amount of time it takes for each stage. When I die I usually just throw my body in lava or something to avoid staring at it forever so I always wondered how long it actually takes.

There are three stages:

  • First Stage Dead Human1 - Decay Time: around 30 min (person died at 1:06)
  • Second Stage Dead Human2  - Decay Time: around 30 min (change into skeleton: 2:06)
  • Third Stage Dead Human3 - Decay Time: around 30 min (disappeared: 2:36)

Ahh 1 hr and 30 minutes and it will disappear then! Thanks so much for your pain and suffering for sacrificing your body for this research.

Maybe it can depend on what ground the person died?
Other day I was hunting at the Vandura's wyrms where the ground is grey rocks and one guy died (twice by the way) and it take a long time to the corpses decompose (aprox the time in the answer). But somedays ago I was hunting hydras in Forbidden Lands, where the ground is brown, so we can say that is earth, and died. Then I just went to buy blessings and got back to the cave (it took between 15 and 30 minutes) and when I got where I died, my corpse wasn't there at wall, even the skeleton in the third stage was gone completely.

I understand that someone could have been there while I was buying blessings and throw my corpse away but I think it's improbable once that there wasn't hydras corpses around the cave or any other sign that somenone was there.

The First stage takes 5 minutes.

The Second stage also takes 5 minutes.

 The Third stage takes 60seconds.

I always thought it was longer than that. I encourage you to test it out to double check! (Not on your main please lol) Or please paste your sources. *I think WIKI might be outdated*

I'm sorry but the answer is incorrect :\ it used to be fast many years ago,  maybe a decade ago. But since then, corpses from CHARACTERS (which I assume is her question, since she said "when I die"), will take much much longer to decompose, nearly an hour.

I see many people just using ctrl+c ctrl+v from the wikis, but we should realize that wiki although a very valuable source is not always up to date, since tibia changes a lot every update!
